Hi, I’m Jake.

Heavy alcohol and drug use seemed normal until I 'woke up' one day and saw that it wasn't.  I was destroying myself and my potential.  This was not the life I wanted.  I was not acting like the person I knew I was on the inside.  I was a liar and a fake, and this realization hurt more than any hangover or embarrassing incident.

So I decided to do the hardest and most terrifying thing imaginable.  I decided to accept the truth and face the unknown.  I decided to quit.  The last 5+ years have held experiences more challenging and more rewarding than I ever could have imagined.  At 35 years of age, I am stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually than I have ever been.  I no longer chase pleasure or live in lies and fear, but rather practice peace, living in truth, and sharing love.

I now truly love and accept myself and my life.  And this is what I want for you someday.  To know that everything is perfect, that you are never alone because we are all one, and that everything will be okay.  The journey of self-discovery never ends because you are Spirit and that Spirit contains every aspect of the universe within itself.  As Rumi said, "You are not a drop in the ocean, You are the entire ocean in a drop."

  • VALUES

To Speak, Act, and Live in Truth.

I believe that everyone has the answers to their own questions.  Your personal and ultimate truths can be found by looking inward.  This is done by removing walls, blockages, and conditioning that keep you from connecting with your true inner self and light.  This is difficult work and takes a lot of effort and time.  As you do this, and start aligning your outward actions with your inner truth, fear, anxiety, doubt, and negativity, all those low-vibration thoughts and feelings start to fade away.  You are not your thoughts or your emotions.  You are so much more than you currently believe yourself to be.

To realize your true potential we will focus on strengthening the mind, body, and spirit by building sustainable habits that will shape you into the person you want to be and allow you to build the life you want to live.

  • GOAL

To choose your own path in recovery.

It may not seem like it to you right now but Recovery from addiction can be an incredible GIFT.  I believe that it is an extraordinarily powerful 'course correction' that can right your current false direction in life toward one that will unveil your true inner self and lead you on the path of becoming the person you are meant to be and living the life you are destined to.

My goal is not just to help you break free from the bonds of addiction and other destructive behaviors, but to help you get started on your true inner path of becoming your best self.  To help you find Truth and Acceptance so that you may practice a life filled with Peace and Love.  To help you find Meaning and Purpose so that you may live a life you are excited about and proud of.

FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS

MIND

“The All is Mind; The Universe is Mental.” - The Kybalion.

You are an entity of intellect, having a mental experience known as a life. Mastering your mind is how you master your life.

BODY

“You can have all the riches and success in the world, but if you don’t have your health, you have nothing.” - Steven Adler

Your body is the vessel for your soul. It is what allows you to bring forth the ideas and inspirations of your mind and spirit into the physical realm. Train it, strengthen it, adapt it to the things you wish it to be capable of.

SPIRIT

“Religion is believing in someone else’s experience. Spirituality is having your own experience.” - Deepak Chopra

Whether you realize it yet or not, you are a part of something infinitely bigger than what you believe to be yourself. You are the universe reflecting on itself not matter how much your ego, fears and beliefs tell you otherwise. Separating ourselves from the source causes great suffering. I can help you remember who and what you really are.

FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE

“When a person can't find a deep sense of meaning, they distract themselves with pleasure." - Viktor E. Frankl

Most of us have heard the story of the two wolves inside all of us. The light and the dark. Which wolf will you feed? Where our attention goes our energy flows so let us not focus on removing the bad, but rather forcing it out by filling the void of life with good.

CONNECTION

“We’re here to awaken from the illusion of separateness.” - Ram Dass

Connection is key not only to recovery but also to a fulfilling and meaningful life. Not only connection with others but connection with ourselves and the world around us.

RECOVERY IS A GIFT

Recovery is one of the most difficult challenges anyone can go through, but like most epic challenges it has considerable rewards. If you pursue your recovery properly you can turn curse into a blessing by awakening your inner truth and becoming your best self. If you already have years of recovery under your belt but it still feels like a struggle to maintain sobriety then you still have work to do. Controlling the outer symptoms is not the same as treating the underlying causes of the disease.

FAQ

  • I am coming up on 6 years of successful recovery. I am a CRM (Certified Recovery Mentor) as well as a CADC-1 (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor). • No. Not at this time.

    Private pay only.

One of the major reasons why I left my previous employment for a non-profit was because of the bureaucracy, restraints, and general bullsh!t of insurance companies and government regulations. I started this endeavor so I could help others with their recovery in my own authentic way and not be held back by broken systems and red tape.

  • Have you already tried all the traditional paths to recovery? Do 12-step/AA meetings not work or resonate for you? Then maybe it’s time to try something different. Maybe it’s time to go rogue? Explore your own path. Find your own way. Create a path that works for you instead of being molded to fit one that works for a small percentage of others.

  • I cannot answer this question until we meet and I assess your needs. How much value I can offer you depends on where you currently are in your journey, where you are aiming to go, and how hard you are willing to work to get there. Reach out to schedule a quick call/consultation and together we will determine how (or even if) I fit into your recovery path and life quest.
